I bought a couple fine-art prints online, they came rolled up... I've already tried to flatten them out by laying them out flat with a couple school books on the edges, but it's not working for one of them... what's the best alternative way to flatten out a rolled up poster?

I've had to leave posters on a flat table with heavy objects in the corner for a day or two to return it to a natural flat shape.

I put it under my carpet. Make sure you get it under perfectly flat or it will permanently be bent. If all goes well it will be perfectly flat.

I always used to roll them once the other way and then place them under something large and flat like a sheet of wood or something for a few days. Of course, like it's already been said, put it in a frame and the problem is solved.

Haha. I'd probably just draw pictures on mine, then roll it back up.

Only use an iron if it has that upright steam function for steaming suits and such. Don't put your iron directly on the paper (duh...). Otherwise, you might consider sticking it somewhere in your bathroom while you take a shower. BE CAREFUL though because too much steam will make your poster warp. That's why I say LIGHTLY steam it.

Spend a couple of bucks by taking it to the local framing shop. tell them you want the posters dry mounted on foam board, they will know what you are talking about. The process adheres the poster to 1/4" thick foam board, it can then be hung on the wall, or framed w/ the do it yourself metal frames you can pick up at the framing store.

Probably $5-7 dollars each, for the dry-mount, about $15-25 for each DIY frame kit.
