I have a computer with my C: drive on a 120 gb hd and need that hd for another computer, so i want to transfer the files from the C: drive (including os) onto a partition on another hd i have in the same computer, how would i go about doing this?

Norton Ghost would work. The sequence would be: copy drive - partition.

Small problem: the hd that im moving my c: drive onto isnt emtpy, it already has 2 partitions

Most hard drives come with a cd or floppy that has a partition dump (copier). Try using that to clone your boot partition to new hd. Make sure you are formating the correct partition.

The various utilities mentioned can create a new partition of the appropriate size and location on the other HDD to clone to. I don't recall if any of the freebees provided by manufacturers can do that without disturbing the existing partitions as they are generally geared towards cloning to a new blank drive. Check 'em out.
