I drove the car and everything grabs nicely in street driving. NOthing sticky with the pedal, everything was nice and smooth, good pressure and engagement point. One time it didn't want to and/or jumped out of 5th.

I did 35mph on the highway and put it into 5th and it worked, slow as crap but expected and it grabbed on and made it to 70mph.

If it pops out of 5th gear, your transmission has the problem, not the clutch. But if it happened just once, I wouldn't worry about it.

The load test you did from 35mph proved your clutch works just fine.

Those are not made in the italy brembo factory with the rest of the real brembo brakes; they're basically chinese made rebadged budget junk with an 'authorized' brembo logo (not even a logo that's in the mold either; just a little decal)

Are they good street brakes? Sure.. No doubt better than stock g35 brakes.. But they aren't what most would consider 'real' brembos.

There are other vehicles with the same marketing crap... Actually 1098/1198 are similar... These are still monobloc calipers, but made in china and not the same as "real" brembo monoblocs.

Don't get me wrong; they're great for the street... But they're basically just larger infiniti brakes with a logo to make you feel better.

I'm not saying your wrong or anything but do you have any proof to back this up? I think they are real brembo's, they aren't the $3000 GT kit brembos but still a line of brembos. Newer G37's went with Akebono capliers sets as well, as we to assume its the same "chinese junk " you speak of

Yeh I couldn't find anything anywhere on the internet to confirm what he said either.. and the G forums seem to think he is on crack.

You have obviously never had experience with real Brembo brakes.

I'm not saying that these are fake in the sense that they're illegally labeled or something - I'm saying that these are budget bin parts that were cheaply made for the OE market with a brembo decal stuck on them. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they're made by some other company that just licenses the logo.

I'm not surprised that a bunch of g forum kids have never heard of this... Try posting it on a trackday forum or talking to a performance shop and see the type of replies you get.

IMO this is more honest than what Ducati did, which is advertise the 1098/1198 as having monoblocs when they're not the traditional brembo monobloc setup... Again.... Still great brakes, but these are all marketing tactics to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I mean, I really wouldn't expect them to put real brembos on the g35 let alone the $3k monoblocs on the 1198... The brakes they come with are completely adequate for street use.. (or with the Duc, they're fine for trackdays but most upgrade for racing applications)

But you're trying to claim they're "racing brakes" which they definitely are not, and makes you look like the clueless one.

And of course they're "highly coveted" by g forum kiddos... They say brembo on them, and that's all that really matters right? 🙄
