Best Way to Test An Overclock Video Card?

I just used Coobit to overclock this crappy Geforce 2 64MB DDR 4x AGP video card. The default speed was 200/333MHz and I upped it to 205/400 and I'm finally over the 5000 mark on 3DMark2001SE. Well, I just want to know whats the best way to test out my new overclock speed incase I need to bring down the core/memory speed a little.

run 3dmark2k1 or 3dmark2k3 continuously (read about 10 tests looped). look for artifacts.

What are artifacts? I see some tiny black dots on my desktop wallpaper. What!!???? I guess it's not working too well eh?

If the video messes up in any way that is out of normal, that's an artifact. You probably need to lower the memory speed with those black dots.
