Best way to test a Video Card?

Whats the best way to torture test a used video card? When I get it I might not have the time to sit down and play games. But will be able to play some. I am doing a half payment now, half when I get and test the card. So I only have a couple days to test it.

Is 3Dmark the best option(loop)?

download that app, turn the settings up and let it run and heatup the card really nice for a bit. You should be able to loop any test (that the card supports) indefinately.

It uses DX9 and HDR.

Will this work as good a 3Dmark06 and be as hard on it? I want something to bring it to its knees(7900GT). I pretty much won't have a manufacture warranty on it so after I send the second payment I'm on my own. I am gonna play CS:S as much as possible the couple days I am testing it.

Would it be ok to loop these demos while I'm asleep?
