I hooked up my laptop, set the resolution to 1920x1080 but it doesn't span the entire set. Only around 75% of the screen is covered. :(

you're using D-sub 15 connector? maybe 1080p is only supported on DVI/HDMI on your set...

is there a 1:1 pixel display setting? are there really 1920x1080 pixels on that screen?

Dont know if this will help or not...

I had trouble getting 1920x1080 on my display when I had my computer hooked up to it. I could use my GPU software to force the resolution, but it would not come out right. A little research and I learned that my display has 2 DVI ports but only one of them was capable of the 1080x1920, and I was hooked up to the other one. I switched my connection and it worked beautifully.

According to the user manual (pg.100-103) , the TV only supports PC input from the d-sub15 connector, and the correct resolution is 1920x1080RB(?) at 60Hz.

Edit: Just saw that the optimal resolution (pg.103) is 1920x1080@60Hz...I guess the 1920x1080RB is just another supported resolution.

Yup, here's a picture of what it looks like when I hook up my PC to it at 1920x1080@60

Tomorrow I'll go grab a 1080p dvd player :(

You should be able to set the screen width sizes in your drivers for your video card
