This Ahole has been packeting me for the last two days. He thinks he some kind of hacker because he can packet me with his OC48 server. Is there anything I can do about this. I am really pissed right now :| I asked my ISP for a new IP. But I am sure he will find it anyhow. You think there is anyway to get his server provider to do anything. Will they even listen to me :( Help!

He has access to atleast 5-10 other servers that can easily put me online. Theres not just one subnet :(

I did not piss him off. He packets me because I don't go to his IRC network anymore. He tells me that if I dont go back hes gonna packet me. Well anyways I got a new IP. I called my ISP and told them this. They gave me an e-mail adress to send any information I have on him. I dont know if its true or not but the guy told me since the guy is from another country this could be considered terrorism. I dont know if thats true. I just hope this egomaniac ahole gets caught. He has packeted many users before. Its not like im the first. :|

Pardon a n00b - but what harm can come from the packeting? Can he gain access to your computer or what?

Umm...your internet connection wont work. If the right amound of packets are sent....you could be offline for hours or even a day.

Doesnt matter, what company did he crack is a more appropriate question. Just another script kiddiot. Thank you lazy admin bastards :p

<< Yeah, another lame script kiddie :|:disgust: >>

If this is your home link you wont be able to do much. If this is a business on the other hand let the lawyers take a look at it and people will fix the problems. You have already been told how you can possibly (hopefully) get your isp to fix the problem on their end, but they NEED to bitch at the people on the script kiddiots end to really get results. If you can make that server lose its link you will be performing an awesome DoS on him. And if it is a company that is hitting you (cracked server on a company rack or something) you should let them know.

Punch his IP into WHOIS

Call the ISP, give them your story, first have them block the account, then have them give you the number of the business. Call the business, and set their admin straigt.

*sigh* Hes it at again. I am in hiding with my second ip right now. I installed a firewall that keeps me online. But my cpu usage rises up to 100%! My computer is 1.3 ghz with 512 mb of ram. So many packets have been sent. I told my ISP all the info I know about this guy but they cant do anything. All they tell me to do is send an email. Heres just a fraction of what this ahole is doing to me

He has a bunch of ips there. Probably cracked machines. Stupid script kiddiots. Have your isp talk to the isps ont he other end. This is rediculous.

Look into getting a BNC/shell account somewhere that you can use to bounce your IP off of so he's not actually viewing your IP, but your shell's. Thus, you can lounge around IRC and be packet-proof. If you don't have a friend who can set you up with this or don't want to pay the typical $5/month for an account, you have really two options:

1) Use a program like AnonIRC set up at a location of your choice to bounce from.
2) Er, well, you could always scan for open WinGates and use those to bounce off of, though this is basically intrusion into a network without the owners' consent or knowledge. This is probably what the packeter is doing himself.

Good luck prohawk - and no, I don't have an account you can use, I wish! :)

And the shell company will have better luck at getting a resolution since they are a company and this becomes a felony and could possibly lead to FBI investigation.

What this guy has is a bunch of "bots". What he has done is probably this, infected lots of computers with a virus that connect to a irc server and go into some channel. He then goes there and orderes all the bots to like ping you.

some guy had the same problem (famous guy from tech Tv I think) and what he did is just make some invisible bot that went into that channel and he monitered the guy for a week or so and then told the guy he had enough evidence to put him in jail so he better quit it, and it worked :)

Hardly anything you can do sadly :(
