What is the best way to share photos and videos I take with my Android smartphone with my family? Let's say I take a bunch of videos with my phone and want my parents to access them from their computer. I was thinking of uploading them to Drop Box but am looking for other solutions as well.

For photos, Google Plus has been a godsend. Unlimited storage if your photos are no larger than 2048 pixels on the longest edge (edit: They will scale your photos automatically down if you wish). You may be able to upload videos there as well. If no, youtube is an options.

Google Plus is the way to go, especially if your family members have Gmail accounts already. Any other kind of cloud storage (Skydrive, Google Drive, Dropbox) will require a login, anyway, so videos via youtube and pictures via Google Plus is probably your best option. If you want it in just one location, then Skydrive is another good option. Microsoft uses a singular login for a lot of their sites like Google does.

I get notified by Google Plus and Gmail whenever I'm logged in after taking photos and videos. Auto upload makes it easy to share from my HTC One.

Google Plus or Dropbox. Dropbox has auto upload like Google Plus, but I like the interface with Dropbox because I can also sync the photos from my regular camera that I load to a folder on my computer and it makes everything into albums. If Google would unite the storage for Drive and Google Plus I'd use that exclusively.
