Best way to share internet connection

i can't afford a router.
i'll only be sharing across 2 computers. i have them networked using a hub.

should i use a proxy server and set that up on the best machine? which proxy should i use?

Since your running Win98 SE, you could just use the ICS that comes with it. That's what I used before I got a router and it wasn't that hard to set up and worked fine for me.

Quad - Just like spencer said, just use internet connection sharing with Win98SE. Or, you can download this software http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/proxy.htm.
