Hi,

I'm curently building my new computer (going from my old p2).

It can look noob but here is it : What is the best way to setup my 2 hd WD 640gb?
Is it going RAID 0 ?

And how do i setup Raid 0? never did it.

Also i'm going to install Vista 64bit (because i have 8gb ram) is it better to install vista on his own partition ? (primary partition) ? if so how large should i make it?

Thanks

I went for a partition size of 50gb for Vista 64. And yes, it should be on its own partition.

I went raid 0 on 2 500's then used a partitioning tool (don't remember if it was partition magic or not) as I decided to add Vista 64 ultimate as a 2ndary OS. So I split the raid 0 config in half and have XP Pro SP3 on first half and Vista 64 Ult. on 2nd half. I image backup both partitions so if I had to do a restore I'd have it all back on a single restore. I tend not to have multiple partitions floating around as to me it gets messier to do backups/restores. Yes, smaller OS/Apps install partitions do restore/backup quicker but if you lose the drive, you lose it all. I'd rather image entire disk to external HDD or optionally to an internal (somewhat faster).
