Best Way to Send Flowers to Someone

any suggestions?

one of my best friends got married and moved to the other side of the country, a couple thousand miles away from all of her friends/family. she's going through some post-marital depression, and I thought I'd send her some flowers to brighten her day.

don't really know how to, though, since she's on the other side of the country and I don't know any local-for-her flower shops.

FTD or 1800flowers have great discounts and points through Skymiles, Amex, or some MBNA cards. Plus, I've always gotten rave reviews from people I've sent flowers to using 1800flowers.

Go Local. I always have gotten better service, better prices, bettery delivery (most will arrange and delivery the flowers the same day) and more customization options.

Check out FloristDex for a list of local florists by city/state.

I've gotten same day delivery from 1800flowers. Keep in mind they use local florists.

if I am to send flowers to someone in college, should I send it to her dorm or should I send it to the mailroom; the normal package address is the mailroom one

FTD is the only flower deliverrr i'm aware of, i guess ad campaigns work.

well, i couldn't remember the name until i saw it in someone else's post.
