Okay,
I received some free computers over the last few months from my school, and all in all, I am trying to figure out the best way to get rid of them for profit.
They are P3-450s-700s. complete systems, at least 192 mb in each one, but there is no OS on them right now, since they were all wiped clean before given away.

Here are the options so far:

1. Sell them on Craigslist
2. Sell them on Ebay
3. Sell them in the local classifieds (about $8 per ad)

Goal: to average around $50-60 for each of these (without monitor) do you think thats doable?
I was thinking about putting Windows 98 on all of them, since they came with those preinstalled, but im not sure i feel right about that.
heh, maybe i could do linux, or maybe i could just sell them bare, without an OS.

Why not start by listing one here in for sale/trade?

Craig's List is your best bet unless you're willing to go through w/ the shipping. Have people come pick it up.

I throw away better computers than those. You should be giving them away for free.

Hey, if you can find buyers and the shipping doesn't eat you alive then more power to you!

I'd be tempted to get one if I didn't already have like 4 backup machines... with 2 of them being better than your specs. :p My lowliest backup is a HP P-150 that has both a modem and a net card... when my cable goes down I can at least connect to the net, lol.

Shipping is one issue, another is that I dont think thered be as much of a market on AT where everyone is an experienced computer geek and owns multiple computers.

But hey, one guy already expressed interest so maybe i can figure out shipping rates and do this :)

I'm not really an expert on shipping, I live in MN, figure each comp probably weighs between 20-30 lbs, standard ATX case.

i suppose it depends on how fast u want it too.

But yeah, I'm willing to sell it if you're willing to pay shipping.

slowest would work for me... uhh... $70 shipped? shipping can't be more than 20 bucks for UPS/FedEx ground.... even USPS parcel shouldn't be that much. you might have to call around.

Yea, you should probably sell them on FS/T cause people don't really buy systems on ebay..
