Sorry but didnt know were the best place to post this so I figured this was the safest place to ask this question. 🙂

I have a new 17" Kogi LCD monitor I want to sell online here on Anandtech. Question is Ive never sold anything this fragile or expense and not sure how to charge on shipping and If I the seller should pay extra for insurance or the if its cool to make the buyer pay for this. So if anyone knows the best way at the sellers end to add in the shipping and insurance please LMK.

Thanks!

Do you have the original box? How well packed was it in there? You could possibly wrap it in brown paper bags and just ship it like that (I would definatly wrap it because you don't want to make it obvious as to whats inside if there's an employee who doesn't care if he loses his job).

With monitors, a lot of people do local pickup only. If you're in LA or something, that might be a viable alternative.

Remember, check references (email past people they did trades with if you want even). With an LCD monitor, you may attract some people trying to scam you. Number one rule, never ship overseas. These auctions will usually offer funds in the form of a CC number (you just have to find a friend to charge the card for you) or paypal. Sometimes they'll offer to send you a check for like $4000, then you cash it and send them the balance. This is also a scam.

The bad trader list in FS/T is a good place to check before you sell it.

Thanks MrBond! Everything noted!

Yea I have it in the orgnial box which it came shipped in. I only used it 1 months and works great but I recently bought a KVM switch which seems to work better on my 19" monitor because of the differant resolutions for each monitor. I tried to sell it to a freind or family member but didnt have any luck.

I live in Kentucky so when I sell it I'll make note in my post for a cheaper price for pick up and can see it in action if so. 🙂

Thanks!
