plus its too much effort. i mean if i've already got the smoker out and doing all that it'd be fine, but not just a hamburger.

I live in cali, where in the summer, everyone bbqs on the weekend...my neighbor bbqs everyother night. He also owns a chain of chop houses, so I guess he entertains a lot.

everyone breaks out the smoker and smokes meat for hours every weekend? i don't believe it

where I live, I have 6 neighbors adjoining my property, and yes all six are having partys and bbq's...lots of kids yelling, music playing, drunk guys hooting, and meat smoking.

all 6, smoking pork or beef or turkey for 4 or 5 hours? you guys are hardcore.
 
when i make burgers for myself and roomies;

2lbs 90% lean ground beef
1 packet lipton onion soup mix
a couple splashes of lee and perrions (sp?)
fresh ground black pepper

mix it all together in a big bowl, make 6 patties and grill untill medium 🙂
