If the monitors have displayport input, you can use mini DisplayPort to Displayport cables to connect. The active DisplayPort to DVI adapters will only be needed if you don't have DisplayPort input on the monitors.

Microcenter has active adapters for $34.99. Not the best deal on them, but convenient if they're nearby. http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0345800

They still don't have any Displayport monitors as far as I've seen. But it's better than last year, when they didn't even have the adapters.

If you need instructions on setting up Eyefinity, Kyle at Hardocp did a couple of videos a little over a year ago showing how to set up both 3 and 6 monitor setups. I'm sure there are also videos on youtube.

So you got the 5770 Eyefinity 5?

The adapters included are passive. Since the 5770 chip has native two DVI outputs, and there isn't enough space for DVI along with the other connectors, they included passive adapters to get the DVI output.

So I assume two of the miniDP outputs are actually designed to be specifically used with the passive adapters they included with the card.

The rest of the miniDP outputs are DP. So you can use three miniDP to DP adapters, which should be cheap, to connect three monitors that have DP. Then use the passive adapters to connect DVI/VGA/HDMI monitors.

You really don't need any active adapters if you are using monitors with native DisplayPorts. If you have three monitors with DP then you don't need any active adapters at all.
