Best way to remove thermal pad from new heatsink?

What's the best way to remove the thermal pad from a new heatsink? I'm building myself a new system and will use my existing parts to build my parents a newer system. I'm going to use Ceramique on mine and thought I'd use it on theirs as well. But the heatsink I'm going to use for that one comes with a thermal pad already installed and I will have to remove it.

Thanks,
BGC

Easiest method for me has been a razor blade followed with acetone. Then a good 90+% isopropyl rub down. Disperse the blade evenly (apply even pressure) though if you use this, as to not scrape/gouge the HS's base. Be gentle.

Goop Off of Opps off are the best things that I have found to easily remove even the dreded pink bubble gum.

Clean up with 90% plus isoproply and you are good to go !!!!
