Ages ago i played Drugwars for a while, then deleted it.

Somehow the game installed Cydor Spyware on my PC. It stayed after the game was deleted which i reckon should somehow be illegal.

I have gone through a large chunk of my registry deleting cydor references, but it still trys to get passed Zonealarm and access the internet. Because i wont let it, it get revving up my hard drive every few seconds

I'm pretty unhappy with this, what is the best thing to do about it?

cheers

RossMAN said it all. Just uninstalled v4.6 & installed v5.5 earlier today. -kd5-

(...btw, they do it because they CAN do it:|)

Thanks, Imesh also load the damned spyware. Adware will do the trick

It seems odd that private companies can monitor us this way, it's so invasive

Thanks I download and installed Adware version 5.0 release 5.5 and it found a total of 51 spyware things on my PC three were from Comet Cursor which I already uninstalled and the other 48 were all cookies. I thought Napster, Morpheus, etc. all have Spyware stuff in them?

AdAware found spy sh*t in my damn netscape directory! :|:|:|:|:| Another reason not to use that POS. Only reason it's on here is for testing web sites.
