Can't definitively write that Tonec's advice is lethal, but nail-polish remover is -very- low on the list of things I'd recommend to anyone but the Florida Sec.' of State. The solvents in nail thinner are savage, and I expect it would attack many PC materials.

And an eraser is adequate. Even a damp (not wet) rag with a trace of soap is okay, but I hesitate to use nail polish remover, flaming napalm, or rock crushers on my chips.

Rubbing alcohol takes it off in no time... use a q-tip and it wipes the lead right off. And the alcohol evaporates in seconds. I found an erasor leaves some lead behind and the alcohol clear out any remaining.
