Best way to remove heatsink compound

What is the best way to remove artic silver from a CPU, I want to clean up the CPU so that I can sell it, the whole thing is silver at the moment after the stuff leaked out the sides of the heatsink.

i use nail polish remover.

...and dont forget to wipe off the nail polish remover too

if its an open core cpu ~ be careful
