Best way to remove A8N-SLI Deluxe northbridge chipset heatsink and fan?

How do I remove this bad boy? I do see two little clip like devices under the motherboard. Can I just use a needle nose plyer to pinch the two things together or should I use something else just in case I gouge a trace or something?
