Best way to remove a Vista recovery partition?

Since I am now running Windows 7, it's kinda useless. It's the hidden partition that came on my PC.

I figure after burning the recovery discs. Just use Gparted and remove the partition and expand the existing one. Then go in the system restore settings and turn off the system restore on the recovery partition and turn on the recovery on drive C.

Correct?

Just wondering can a recovery partition be made with Windows 7?

Just delete it with Windows 7 disk manager. Free
