Ok, I need to type up an essay for one of my classes, but right now I'm experiencing eye strain right now... What is the best way to relieve it or mildly relieve it? Without making me fully spaced out or drowsy?

It is arguably more important to relieve brain strain before writing an essay.
I remember somebody posting a trick here a while back saying you should try closing your eyes, and then stress every muscle in your body for 10 seconds or so, and then release. Then leave your eyes closed for a few a minutes. Supposedly stressing all the muscles in your body and then releasing them makes a sort of chain reaction and convinces your eyes to relax as well.
