I have a HDD from my HTPC connected to my main PC, and remotely from work I am moving some things over to another drive, etc while my girlfriend is also on the PC.
It shows that there are about 15 GB used on the drive, but only 8GB are really used, showing all system and hidden files, etc. I record OTA HD, so maybe there are some corrupted recordings or something.
I know formatting will fix this, but how else could I fix it? I was told chkdsk [volume] /f /r or something along those lines would fix it.
Are there any other solutions? Preferrably something that I can do within windows without rebooting.
Thanks so much!!
