Best way to pack a suit and dress shirts?

Headed across country and need to pack a suit and a few dress shirts. What is the best way to pack them so they don't get all wrinkled?

Just buy a garment bag and skip a headache. If you need the shirts pressed, most decent hotels will offer the service.

Garmet bag. Carry it with you on the plane, then place above other bags in the baggage compartment overhead.

screw overhead compartment, most airlines have a closet for coats and things

So far you're the only one to spell garment correctly.
