As the title says really but with the following in mind.
I have 2 Printers. One is a Hewlett Packard Deskjet 890C Pro and the other is a Hewlett Packard Lazerjet 4050N. (The 'N' stands for Network).
I want to keep both printers as the 890C is colour and the 4050N is a lazer and better for quality etc. I am aware that I can use an old method where u can use a printer switch box that has both printers connect to it via the Parallel ports. When I want to use either one of the printers I just switch to which ever I want, hey presto. But, I don't want to do that is I can help it.
My Rig has a NIC inside which is not being used at the moment. The 4050N also has a NIC inside it, as mention b4 it is a network printer. Is it possible therefore to connect the 4050N to my PC with just the NIC and my 890C to my PC via the Parallel port which subsequently negates the need for the switch box and or Network HUB.
Just though I'd ask b4 I start messing only to find it's not possible.
Thanks ppl.
