Best way to monitor internet access?

I need to monitor internet traffic on my LAN, what is the best way to do this?

What Monitor means to you?

The Router might have a good loging capacity thta can looked on.

Each computer Firewall might have one too.

Otherwise you have to install special siftware utility on each computer.
