best way to make blank image?

I'm working on an install of a livehelper chat software, and it requires a "button" image to be provided. If you leave it blank, it inserts it's default image.

The thing is, customer doesn't want a livechat button on their site, they just want it to work passively. But I need to provide an image for it to work.

I was thinking of just creating a white, single pixel image. So there would still be an image, you just can't see it. Is there a better way?

what if someone clicks on the pixel? you should find a way to disable the button entirely?

it will be at the bottom of the page, below the footer. they'd have to really look around to find that single pixel to click on.

This one is transparent although at 1px it probably doesn't matter.
