I want something to listen to audio book mp3s. I'm not sure if my best bet is to get a mp3 CD player, or buy more media for my pocket pc ($$$) and listen to it on there. Also, not sure what bitrate is best for these. Does anyone else listen to audio book mp3s?

If you're interested in listening to them, why are you concerned wtih bitrate? Will you be encoding them too?

I'm concerned about the bitrate, because if I should listen to them on my PDA, the space is pretty important (books are big and 256meg securedisk is ~$50). Yeah, I've already got an encoding solution...

I think 64 or 50kbps stereo/mono is good enough, but I was just wondering what other people used.

he might be getting them as audio book CDs, in which case they would need to be converted to mp3s, I guess.
