Best way to lengthen a usb cable?

Heres the deal. My computer is about 10 feet away from the window. I want to put my webcam in the window so I can see if anyone is coming up to my yard or whatnot. I'm wondering, whats the cheapest, and fastest way to do this? I saw a 10 foot extension cable on Circuit Citys website, but it is an extension cable, not a repeater. Will this give enough speed for a decent view? LMK. Thanks.

I bought a usb hub at Big Lots for around $5. Works fine for me as an extention.
