Best way to learn python? Haven't done coding in a long time

Hey guys,

I'm doing some mathy-biology-y research over the summer, and most of the researchers I'm working with use python...

Now the extent of my programming experience is AP Computer programming back in high school (we used C++).

Does anyone know where the best place is to start programming using python? ANything more "hold my hand" than Guido's guide? I'd like to get a thorough introduction to the beginning stuff before I delve any deeper.
