Best way to kill spiders?

Cliff notes: Recommend a good spider killer bomb or something that won't hurt a roomate in another room, and won't destroy artwork.

What's the best way to kill spiders in an apartment when another roomate will still be there? The room with the spiders won't have anyone in it over night, so maybe bombing it with a bug spray over night?

The problem is my girlfriend's apartment has some major spiders in there. Whenever I'm there over night I get bites all over my leg, and she's been getting a lot as well. This has been happening since spring and I've decided it's finally time to do something about it.

She has a lot of crap in her room, posters, art, fragile stuff, so I don't want it to be anything that'll hurt any of that stuff...

Soo... yeah. Opinions needed because I need to go out and get something tonight.

Spray bombs would work.

Why not move the artwork out or cover it with plastic?

Syringer is another option.

I'm surprised that took 4 minutes. You're slipping Zim. :p

I feel like I'm being left out of some huge inside joke, here, but I'll PM him anyway. :p

No, I think the OP wants to actually kill the spiders, not let them live while losing a chick or chicks over them.

Are you sure you're being bitten by spiders?
I've never heard of house spiders randomly biting people...

What else would it be? I've been bitten by spiders before overnight. I don't think it's anything strange at all.

We live in Illinois, FYI.
