i have installed XP dozens of times in the past, but i feel that everytime i did so, i was not doing it in the most optimum way. although there are no conflicts reported and my system is stable (1.4 @ 1650, Mult to 11 and FSB 150), all the extra peripherals (video, sound, nic...) are always given the IRQ 9. i know it has to do with ACPI and i read a way to get around it when i did w2k installs in the past.
what i really want is some advice on the best step by step process to install WinXP and drivers on a amd system with the following devices:
a7m mobo
GF3
SB Audigy
LinkSYS 10/100 etherfast
Promise raid controller (will run this in raid 0 with 2 X 30GB IBM 75GXP)
