Best way to install 120MM blowhole on Antex sx-1040 style case?

I have a 120mm fan I would like to install as a blowhole on the top of an Antec 1040 style case. It is an aluminum case from Newegg.com - I'm just not sure the best method to cut the metal. Anyone do this before or have ideas? also, have you noticed a significant difference once you installed the blowhole? Thanks!

well, easiest would be a hole saw, then jig saw, then dremel, the nibbler.

take your pick, chances are, you might have to remove the top and rerivet when done.

I'd use a hole saw or dremel, then you put moulding around the edge. Hole saw is the cheapest way if you already have a drill, make sure you drill a pilot hole first.

Thanks, I think with the way the top is attached, I may give up this plan. It has the 5 80mm fans already, so I don't think another would make a huge difference. Thanks again!

I actually did a rectangular cutout on my case, and mounted the fan in my top acrylic window. Friend of mine did the same.
Really, though, the most difference you'll see will be in the noise of the case.

That is exactly what i thought. the existing 80mm fans points are more than enough. I found it more beneficial to install a baybus to control all my case fans with and then fine tune the speed of the indiviual fans to get just the right balance of airflow. I discovered that just pounding the cfms created so much turbulence that it actually impeded the cooling efficiency. Now with good fan balance i have a much quieter case and better cooling.
