ok. lay on your bead. put your keyboard on your lap. if you're lucky like me, you can put your mouse on your desk to the right. if not, i'll explain. keyboard on your lap. mousepad or magazine or some crap on the bed. turn the monitor towards you. WALLA. (if you're facing the short way find a chair or somethign for your feet.)

how damn good am i?

I have no bed in my living room :)
I'm thinking of just the laptop on a pillow and the mouse on a small cirlce pad with a hard bottom on the arm.

He has a HTPC.... like me :)

I use the coffee table. Been looking for a better solution but no luck. One of the downsides of living room gaming. The upside is gaming on a 50" HDTV is awesome.

Try hitting up HTPC NEWS
They may have some better suggestions.

Guys with out sounding old and a drag this is really not good for you. I have done it myself and got a sore neck. I work in a very big company and they are hot on Health and Saftley and for a good reason after you see/meet the people that have hurt themselves.

I went to Staples/Office Depot and bought one of those small corked on one side bulletin boards. It is ~ 14" long by 11" wide.
It has a strip of vinyl for an edge border that I strengthened by pushing in straight pins.
These things are quite common.
I put the board legnthwise on my lap.
I have a 3M Optical Mousing Surface mousepad on the board closest to me for my Logitech MX1000 Laser Cordless USB mouse.
At the other end of the board (furthest away from me) I place my Logitech Cordless Elite USB keyboard.
When I need it, I use a Logitech Freedom 2.4 Cordless USB joystick. I just place it beside the mouse on the pad.
Busy with all three but I manage.
I'm in the living room too but in a padded and wheeled office chair with arms ... not a recliner.
Works for me!

The thing that was supposed to come with that "phantom" console looked good too, but they said it wouldn't be sold seperately.

/apparently they call it "the phantom Lapboard" website
