Best way to have a fan blowing..

Hey guys.

Well, I have a stand fan blowing into my PC, and I was wondering what position to place it to get best temps.

At the moment, the case is placed sideways with the fan sitting on the case's side (side panel removed of course) and two exhaust fans.

So, please help me out guys. Thanks 🙂!

What more do you want? The way you put it is probably the only way that matters. I can't think of any other place to put that fan.

Sorry, but I was wondering if not giving enough room between the fan and the case would reduce the fan's performance 🙂.

If you are having cooling problems that a stand fan blowing directly into an open case can't fix then moving the fan isn't going to solve them.

What exactly is going on in your case that it requires a stand fan?

Ahh no, my temps are fine. Just want to get the best possible use out of this fan.

Oh and I live in quite a hot part of the world, so a stand fan is a must if you don't have a good case with great cooling.

Ahh, ok. Well if you are going to have the case door opened have you considered flipping your two exhaust fans around and having them blow over the MB and RAM instead of the stand fan? Won't be as effective but it might be less intrusive.

If I were going to use a stand fan as cooling I would remove as much of the top and sides as possible. You want the air to be able to flow over your components and then get out of the way as quickly and easily as possible to make room for new air.

Why do you even have the two exhaust fans running if you have a fan blowing into the side of the case?
