Best way to get video to the TV...

Without using my card's TV and short of a scan converter unless you can recommend a cheap one.

My roommate wants to watch videos on the TV but he hates the video out on the video card(Radeon 8500).
 
Well, then your roommate is a dumbass. Radeons have some of the nicest TV output of the video sector.

More likely his TV sucks, because svideo and 640x480 is fine for most TV uses.

Thats what I told him so we are going to his mom's house to try her TV.

Ours is 11 years old, her's in a new Sony 34in.

Btw- Since when have you graced the video forum? I thought you just stuck to General Hadware, Hot Deals, and Off Topic.
