best way to get to fashion island?

im in riverside...

i drove there a few days ago but we went different ways and i wasnt sure of the street names (my friend [who's gone right now without his phone] told me where to turn)... but i need help anyway... what i THINK i did was

91 west -> 55 south -> 405 south, exit macarthur (or something) and go all the way down and theres a sign to turn right...

is that right?

yahoo! maps says this but i dont wanna go through the toll roads

8. Merge onto CA-91 WEST RAMP. 0.9
9. Merge onto CA-91 W. 9.0
10. Take CA-241 SOUTH RAMP towards IRVINE. 1.1
11. Merge onto CA-241 S (Portions toll). 5.9
12. Take CA-261 SOUTH RAMP towards IRVINE. 0.5
13. Merge onto CA-261 S (Portions toll). 5.9
14. CA-261 S becomes JAMBOREE RD. 7.7
15. Turn LEFT onto SAN JOAQUIN HILLS RD. 0.3
16. Turn RIGHT onto SANTA CRUZ DR. 0.3
17. Turn LEFT onto NEWPORT CENTER DR. 0.2

take 55 south to 73 south

get off MacArthur

Take that all the way down..you should see some signs.

Bison, the next exit, is the last one before the toll road begins, so don't forget!

The best way is:
91 west
to
55 south
to
73 east
to
Jamboree south (right)
take Jamboree past San Joaquin to
Santa Barbara (left)
it exits at Fashion Island

you can also take the toll road from the 91 over the hills to Irvine. It dumps you onto jamboree by the Tustin Marketplace. The 55 is faster if there's no traffic. This is the way your online directions is telling you to go. If you don't have fasttrack, It's not worth it.

I worked at Circuit City in Fashion Island for two years. It's the best way, trust me.
