well u see the thing is, my ex was HOT. The 4 girls I slept with were mediocre/OK looking type chicks. SO that wouldnt help

I think if i found another HOT girl, maby i wouldn't be writing this thread lol
High standards only set you up for disappointment.

Btw...what is it you're looking for? Are you just looking for a good bang or are you looking for a life-long relationship? Because looks fade pretty quick. Some girls are blessed with a body and face that age with grace....others deteriorate like the people at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark. What you need to do is figure out if you're looking for a woman to be with you for good and find someone that you love despite what they look like...of course that's easier said than done and a little hottness never hurt the situation. Just keep in mind that as long as you keep comparing people to your ex, you'll never be satisfied.

well i guess im jus looking for a true girlfriend, some1 I actually like. I didnt really like all the girls I slept with after her. It's just my ex had looks, money, and a great personality and she actually loved me, I just ****** it up. I'll tell the whole story if you guys are really interested but your right. AS LONG as i keep comparing people to my ex, ill never be satisfied. I guess TIME is my only option

That's it!

Use that anger. Let it motivate you to action.

The action to believe that she is dead to you and you're better off and move on. Because that's the truth. You didn't screw it up, she did. You can't blame yourself for her mistakes.

Honestly though, she is dead to you. She doesn't exist.

oh, and strange sure doesn't hurt. Plus the whole "any woman can get over any man when they nail the next one"

I always assume I am better off alone when going into a relationship, so if it ends, I am always prepared for the alternative.

The best way is to go on with your life.

get some new hobbies and become a bit selfish.

edit: I say this because you seem awfully co dependant. You need to work on your identity(who you are) with out someone else (a girlfriend) defining that for you.

Think about it. It makes sense I swear.

take her out of your cell phone, off all of your contacts, whatever. stop calling, stop contacting her. do whatever you can to force yourself to not think about her. it will be hard for a long while, but you'll get better. and i guarantee, after awhile, if you find a girl you really like (which you will), it will definitely get your mind off of her.

When I found it, the thread directly below this one was titled "OK to take prescription painkillers when you're not in physical pain?"
Sometimes life just presents a solution.

Remember the memory of her is only a chemical reaction in your brain. Fight it, there are plenty of other birds in the sea. Be your own person for now, who knows what the future has in store for you.

Have a

Important parts in bold.

You were with her because she had money? Even if that isn't a reason, you are shallow enough to list it as a reason for being with her ?

What's wrong with that? Look at Kevin Spears. It's damn sure worked for him.
