I would actually do the opposite, I usually only focus on the ugly people.

Having your audience interact and not just sit there and listen all the way through helps to relieve the focus point all on yourself as well.

I dreaded going into the communication course. At first I started without glasses. That really helped. Then as time went by I'd have it on. I'd have the notes, but once I get going I don't need them and just improvise and base it off my memory.

In a group presentation I find it's easier to go first than last. The wait for your turn actually makes things worse. The longer you hold off the worse the butterflies in your stomach gets.

Good luck and report back how you did!

No wonder so many people stare at me when they're giving presentations. :(

that's silly. :) face it, class presentations are boring and the audience almost always thinks there are better things they could be doing with their time. Well, that is what I am usually thinking as I sit thru class presentations. I think it's natural that the audience is going to stare blankly.

the only true way is to actually know what you're talking about

if you do you can pretty much just freestyle and use a few notes that list the main topics you want to touch on

easy stuff
