Best way to get credit?

I was wondering what the best way to get "good" credit was?

do you HAVE to use a CC and pay it?

i would never want to have a CC .. my visa bank card is all i need

If you have a bank acct. see if they will give you a small personal loan that you can pay back regularly, and make sure it's reported to the credit bureaus.

Pretty much, unless you got student loans or car loans.
Check cards do not help your credit history.

One CC is ALWAYS good to have for unexpected stuff like a broken down car.

Best way to do it quickly IMHO if you don't want to use credit cards. However student / car loans do help build credit as long as you pay on time. Get a personal loan, make the payments for a few months, then pay it all off.

hmmm i do have student loans!

but i have to pay them after i am out of college
