what would be the best way to format your 2nd hard-drive on the computer. I can't seem to get the whole right click on D drive and select format to work because " something is using it" i need another way to format that drive thanks guys.
 
In Xp in the administrative tools, computer management, disk management. You should be able format, delete and remake partitions.
 
If you've got a Maxtor HD, check out Maxblast, their free proggie. I like to use it for formatting and partitioning.
