How can I flash the bios for a Abit KT7 MB in Windows 2000 Pro.
I have done it many times in Win98 making a boot disk and flashing using AWDFLASH utility. What is the best way in Win 20000 ?

even with Asus's new GUI based flash utility, I'll still recommend doing it in DOS mode only, for the stability reasons (even in Win2K you there's still too much variables then a pure DOS boot)

The best way to flash an AMI bios is to put the new ROM file on a disk, rename it to AMIBOOT.ROM and when you turn your computer on, before it posts, hold CTRL-HOME. That accesses the first 4k of the BIOS that never gets flashed and reads the new ROM, installs it, and reboots your computer. This also works in case you install the wrong flash and fubar your bios.

You can still use your Win95/98 boot disk and run the Abit flash utility from DOS with Win2k installed.
