Hi all,

This weekend I want to add all my other halfs music to the home media system so that it is accessible all round the house.

Almost all her music is in itunes on her windows laptop. What would be the best way to export it to mp3 with all the metadata?

Also would it be asking too much to get it exportred with a logical folder structure e.g.

Artist1 - album 1
- album 2

Artist 2 - album 1
- album 2

well you get the idea.

Does your system not support AAC? A straight drag & copy of the entire Music folder not working out?

For batch conversions dbPoweramp (on Windows) is good - but again, if your home system is any good at all then it should be able to play back AAC's.

My system (xbmc front end) will play AAC but I have trouble scarping the info for the songs.
All the music in Itunes has weird names, mostly 4 letter codes. In this format I cannot get all the appropriate artwork/info.

4 letter codes?

Either way then, dbpoweramp should handle the conversion process.

Thanks for the info but $38 is a bit steep for a one time use that is not sure to work. I was hoping for something more in the $10 range. Think i'll be spending the weekend ripping cd's
