Best way to dispose of sod?

I'm ripping up approximately 175 sq.ft. of grass to make way for a flower garden. WTF am I supposed to do with all this sod? Our garbage service will only pick up 60lbs of sod per week, meaning I'll be giving them this stuff until Christmas. Composting isn't an option because of the amount of grass. I was going to rip it up and run it over with the lawn mower but was told that'll screw up the blade pretty quickly.

we have a makshift hill in our back yard that is basically in a flood plain, but just made from sticks, concrete, bulls1t and then covered with dirt, it looks weird but it grew grass.

I just took a rototiller to the grass to make a flowerbed. I don't know if that's a bad idea, but with that fabric stuff none of it grew back.

I have no place to bury it, either. Hmm... I do have an area by the house that is(was) a drainage field, lots of small rocks. Maybe I can use this to cover that crap up. I wanted to grade it away from the house.

i would offer it up for free on craigslist or classifieds (you come get it, its yours)

or cant you just grind it up in the area you are going to be gardening like mugs suggested?
