Ok, i have a lot of letters, etc that i wanna get rid of. Problem is, most of it has my name and address (some have a telephone number too). There are also statements from my bankaccounts and such.

Whats the best way to destroy all of this? I could use a cross-cut shredder, but it will take me days to shred all of this with a home shredder. Don't feel like buying a expensive one.

I was thinking of just burning them...got a old grill, throw lighter fluid on them, and let it burn. Dunno how that would go though...lol.

Any other ideas?

Fire, but watch for ashes. metal garbage can with a grate from a grill would be an idea. Plus lots of lighter fluid.

Tons? Like, how much?

For what I'm thinking, rent one of those thingies that people use to shred tree branches in, then just throw in piles of documents.

Keep in mind that documents can still be legible after being burned. Wherever you burn them make sure you have an opportunity to thoroughly crunch and stir the ashes when you are done.

Fire or a cross-cut shredder. Get one big enough to handle all your paper. Make sure you oil it per the users manual.

fobot.com
it is unlikely that the information is actually sensitive info
it is probably available on the internet , so just put it all in the trash

Give them to someone who normally ruins your stuff. Like a room mate. Tell him "don't lose this stuff." Give it a few days. You'll never see those documents again.

Do you have burning rules ni your city? Just get a big metal barrel, dump in the paper, maybe some lighter fluid for good measure.... and then a match. Poof.
