Hi.
What is the best way to cool a Zalman ZM80C-HP? On a 9700pro.
Should the 92mm fan i have blow over one side of the HS? If so, which side?
Or both sides?

Here are some pictures of my 9700pro after a few after market HS`s are added to it bty.
Picture1 (very large 900kb+)
Picture 2 (very large as well)
Picture 3 (yet again, very large)

The reason for the question on the fan; is that even after a full week of perfect stability, i can boot up and it`ll give me a corrupted desktop, which a restart fixes. I have no idea why it does that. Ive used AS3 on the core, and it does it, now using Zalman goop, and it does it still. Have added memory cooling, still does it, added power regulator cooling, and it still does it.
Its clocked to 350/700 bty. The 700mhz is well within the spec of the memory.

Thanks in advance.

They`re called Coolermaster CRC-U01, i got them from PC World Stoke, in the UK, for £4.88 for a pack of 8. I brought 3 packs for 24 HS`s.

shouldn't the 92mm blow downward over both sides? zalman even sells such a fan bracket.

Lucky you.
I`ll be buying a 120mm fan later this year to replace the 92mm one. Hopefully that`ll help.

Boom,

put the fan on either side, wherever you have enough room. If the HP is working correctly, it shouldn't make much of a difference... edit: on which side you put it on that is... ;)

i have a second 92 mm zalman fan pointing at the HP+ set up in a diamond shape.

the cpu fan is monuted regualr..

btw, the heatpipe only really needs to be cooled if yer ocing the vid card.. but then again, there's nothing wrong w/ a cooler gpu.
