Best way to connect fans...

Alright guys, I'm currently working on my first build, and I've ordered everything, but the last three items (memory, PCP &C 510-SLI, and a floppy) are coming next week. So I'm currently prepping the case and stuff and my question to you guys regards the best way to connect my fans. Which fans should I connect to the mobo (other than the HSF) and which fans should I connect to the PSU? I'm planning on have 2 fans in the rear for exhaust, 1 right in front of the hard drive, blowing into the case, and 1 on the side window (I have the charcoal chieftec mx w/ the window from the TD deal). Does it make a difference if I hook up the fans to my mobo or to the PSU? I know the mobo can then regualte the fans and turn them on when everything heats up. But I'm actually really clueless when it comes to this (agian, this is my first build).

One more question: would it be better to put 2 fans in the front of the case blowing in or to put 1 fan on the side? Basically, help me get the optimal set up. If you need system specs, check out my sig.

P.S. I haven't put the computer together, so I can't answer questions about temps, etc. Thanks.

what are the sizes and brands of the fans? generally, it's not a good idea to let high-powered fans get their power from the mobo, but with most 80mm fans, it wouldn't be a problem.

I run all my LIA's off the motherboard (three of them) they draw very little power so it's perfectly safe. What case are you going to be using?
