Best way to completely uninstall software?

WinXP A/R control panel doesn't seem to remove all components. Are the uninstall utilities titles any better?

using Xp's "System Restore" works if you just isntall the prog and then decide you dont want it anymore (not doing anything in between really) as it returns ur comp to the date you pick possibly loosing files/changes

software wise nothing is perfect due to all the dll/registry changes that take place with programs nowadays. i havent found anything that will totally remove some of the 30 day trial programs.

Almost without exception, uninstalling a program leaves registry entries and probably empty folders too.

The floders are easy to find, and the registry items can be searched for using the name of the program and the name of the program author (example: winzip and nico mak).

Hope this helps!
