Best way to combine two partitions into one?

evident

Lifer
Same physical hard drive, but i split them up into two 300GB partitions when i first set it up. now it would be easier for me to just keep it all as one partition. is there any software that can do this easily? or do i have to get everything off, then reformat ?

edit: using vista ultimate 64 dualbooting w/ xp pro

I'll tell ya what...

I just downloaded 'SystemRescueCD' and used it to resize a partition in a W2K Pro machine.

I just barely scratched the surface of this proggie, and I can already tell it's a keeper!

You might want to give it a whirl...

Vista disk management in administrative tools will do everything you need without any extra software.

Move all the data from the partition you would like to delete onto the partition you would like to keep. Then using Vista Disk Management delete the partition you would like to go away then expand the partition you want to keep to take the entire drive.

Acronis, Partition Magic, any partitioning tool can do such a task.

Look into Hiren's Boot CD while you're at it.
