Best way to color skin brown for Halloween costume?

Planning my costume this year, and I'm a white guy who needs to look black.

Anyone have luck with anything that looks pretty good and washes off easily?

Is brown makeup the easy answer, or is there something better?

LOL! One of my HS classmates did that 18 years ago during Halloween.

He came in a burgandy Izod shirt, Playboy cap, gold chains, Addidas sneakers with fat laces and some shades.

He was almost run out of school and all the boys from the zoned HS next to ours were out looking for him. It was hilarious.
